Alexander Steele have partnered with a leading drinks manufacturing company in Perthshire to recruit an enthusiastic and hands-on Assistant Brewer.
This is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone eager to start a career in brewing. You'll be involved across the full brewing process – from wort production to packaging and lab work – gaining broad, practical experience and valuable industry skills along the way.
Key Responsibilities

Wort production
*
Weighing ingredients
*
Filtration processes
*
Product transfers & tanker loading/unloading
*
Cask and keg cleaning & filling
*
General cleaning duties including CIP (Clean-in-Place)
*
Lab work – beer quality monitoring and sensory analysis
Additional Duties May Include:

Forklift truck operation (training provided)
*
Stock counting and warehouse work
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in brewing or distilling is beneficial, but not essential – full training will be provided.
Desirable (but not required):

Brewing qualifications (IBD Certificate/Diploma, BSc/MSc in Brewing & Distilling)
*
Forklift licence (training can be provided)
Essential Skills & Requirements:

High attention to detail
*
Team-oriented with a proactive mindset
*
Basic IT skills (Word, Excel)
*
Awareness of health & safety
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Must be aged 18 or over (due to alcohol handling regulations)
