What you’ll do
As our Buying Assistant, you’ll:
* Support the Buyer to maintain a steady supply of quality, cost-effective goods and services from approved suppliers
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to deliver savings and process improvements
* Assist with supplier negotiations, contract management, and performance monitoring against SLAs
* Manage day-to-day procurement administration — raising and tracking purchase orders, resolving delivery queries, and maintaining accurate ERP records
* Order consumables for the business and manage supplier data
* Collaborate across departments on a variety of procurement and supply chain projects
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring:
* Experience in administration, purchasing, or procurement (ideally in a similar role)
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* You may be looking to extend your purchasing career, or already have experience, but are looking for a steady, long term role, where you can showcase your experience
* Proven ability to manage supplier performance using SLAs
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with great attention to detail
* Experience using ERP systems
* A proactive, positive attitude and a curiosity to improve processes
