Assistant Buyer – 5-Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Stirling
Contract Type: Fixed Term (5 months)
Hours: Full-time
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional looking to build on your procurement experience? We’re currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join a well-established and reputable construction business on a fixed-term contract covering a period of leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced buying environment, supporting key projects and working alongside an experienced team.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting the procurement team with the sourcing and purchasing of materials and services
Liaising with suppliers to negotiate prices, lead times, and ensure on-time deliveries
Managing purchase orders and maintaining accurate procurement records
Assisting with cost control, invoice reconciliation, and reporting
Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a buying, procurement, or supply chain role (construction industry experience is desirable but not essential)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
A team player with a proactive and adaptable approach
