NEW ASSISTANT BUYER BASED IN ANDOVER.
Our client based in Andover, Hampshire specialise in the design and manufacture of highly complex electronics for a range of industries like aerospace, medical and automotive.
This role is ideal for someone who’s organised, proactive, and eager to build their career within procurement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities as an Assistant Buyer in Andover.
* Purchase production materials, goods and service in line with company policy and planning schedules.
* Manage daily MRP (Material Requirements Planning) suggestions using approved suppliers.
* Source and cost materials to support customer quotations and commercial proposals.
* Monitor and manage procurement timelines to meet production and customer deadlines.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the purchasing function.
* Ensure purchasing activities align with company authority levels and budget controls.
Requirements as a Assistant Buyer in Andover.
* Experience working within a purchasing or procurement team.
* Familiarity with MRP systems (essential).
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
