Salary of £35,000
Mix of early and late shifts
Duties and Responsibilities
* Organises and supervises food preparation and service
* Ensures catering services are operated in accordance with all relevant food hygiene and health and safety process and procedures
* Leads and manages catering staff team on a day-to-day basis
* Supports the Catering Manager in ensuring all catering staff are suitably trained to perform their duties to required standards
* Maintains effective control systems and records of stock
* Maintains and rotates appropriate stock levels, ensures minimum wastage of product
* Successfully resolves customer and employee complaints
* Develops effective client relationships through regular communication
* Attends training as and when required, training may be scheduled outside normal working hours
* Compliance with all Statutory and Company health and safety practices and procedures, including manual handling
* Adheres to all company rules, regulations, policies, procedures and provisions of contract
* As and when required, carries out additional tasks concerned with the operation of the Establishment
For Education Establishments, compliance with Statutory and Company Safeguarding regulations
Education, Training & Qualifications
* NVQ in supervision and leadership
* Food preparation experience, Food hygiene certificate desirable
For Education Establishments, satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure or security clearance and cleared Barred List Check essential
