Assistant Design Manager – Industrial & Commercial Projects
M4 Corridor (Reading, Wokingham, Slough)
£40,000 – £60,000 + Travel Allowance, Private Healthcare, Pension & Bonus

Flexible Setup – Split between live sites along the M4 corridor and support from an experienced head office team in Kent. What You’ll Be Doing As Assistant Design Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing design outputs and technical coordination across multiple projects. Expect to:
Support in managing consultant teams and design deliverables.
Review drawings and documentation to spot risks and opportunities.
Attend design and progress meetings.
Drive technical queries through to resolution. This is a rare opportunity to gain direct mentorship and high-level exposure while contributing to major live projects.

What You’ll Bring
1–3 years’ experience in design coordination or technical support within construction.
Exposure to industrial, logistics, or commercial builds (preferred but not essential).
Strong organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and confidence to take initiative. What You’ll Get

Mentorship and development into a Design Manager role within 1–2 years.
