Assistant Estimator
Location: Heathfield, Newton Abbot (office-based)

gap personnel are recruiting for an Assistant Estimator to join our client in Newton Abbot.
You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and competitive project proposals while developing valuable skills in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Accurately record and update project enquiries, gathering essential details from customers.
Process data collected from site visits and assist in preparing detailed cost estimates.
Keep the estimating database up to date to support smooth project planning and delivery.
Collaborate with the Senior Estimator to build estimates and compile Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and suppliers.
What We’re Looking For
Degree-level education (preferred, but not essential)
A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive mindset and enthusiasm to develop within the estimating field
Hours & Pay:
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00am – 17:00pm
Salary: £25,396.80 PA
