Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Facilities Manager to work on a permanent basis in the Ormskirk area for a global engineering company. Salary is £40,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company pension, bonus etc. About the Assistant Facilities Manager role: This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineering professional looking to progress into a facilities management role. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll support the day-to-day management of site facilities, oversee maintenance activities, coordinate contractors, and assist with the successful delivery of site improvement projects. Key Responsibilities * Assist in the day-to-day management of site facilities and infrastructure. * Plan and coordinate routine maintenance activities. * Manage and liaise with external contractors and internal departments. * Ensure all maintenance and project work complies with current health, safety and statutory legislation. * Support the delivery of facilities improvement and maintenance projects. * Update and maintain site drawings and technical documentation. * Coordinate electrical inspections and maintain accurate compliance records. * Prioritise workloads to ensure projects and maintenance activities are completed efficiently. About the Assistant Facilities Manager role: To be successful in this role you should have: * An HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. * Experience with electrical wiring installations, including single and three-phase distribution systems. * AutoCAD experience. * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. * Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors and external suppliers. * The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy manufacturing environment.
