The Assistant Financial Accountant will support the Accounting & Finance department in a retail environment by assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger tasks. This temporary role is based in Nottingham and requires a detail-oriented professional with an understanding of accounting principles.

Description
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Support the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for internal review.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Work closely with the Accounting & Finance team to meet deadlines.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Contribute to process improvements within the finance department.Profile
A successful Assistant Financial Accountant should have:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations in a professional setting.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
