We are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Rochdale to recruit an Assistant Headteacher / SENCO who can help shape the strategic direction of the school while leading on inclusion and SEND provision. The Role: As Assistant Headteacher / SENCO, you will: Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school. Work as part of the senior leadership team, contributing to whole-school improvement. Oversee EHCP processes, annual reviews, and intervention planning. Line manage support staff and work closely with external agencies. Champion inclusive practices and be a key voice in safeguarding and behaviour strategy. Ideal Candidate: Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO). Proven experience as a SENCO, Inclusion Lead, or Assistant Head in a specialist or mainstream setting. Deep understanding of SEMH needs, trauma-informed practice, and behaviour support. Skilled in multi-agency working, EHCP processes, and strategic leadership.
