Junior Mechanical Project Manager
📍 Location: Cambridge
💼 Contract / Permanent | Competitive Salary

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Project Manager to join a major £200m construction project.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step up into a project management role, working alongside a senior team on a high-profile, large-scale development.

Key Responsibilities:

  * 

    Support the Mechanical Project Manager in delivering mechanical packages from installation through to commissioning and handover

  * 

    Assist with programme tracking, progress reporting, and coordination of site activities

  * 

    Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery

  * 

    Support procurement of materials and equipment

  * 

    Assist in managing QA processes, inspections, and documentation

  * 

    Ensure health & safety standards are maintained across all mechanical works

  * 

    Attend site meetings and contribute to progress updates

Requirements:

  * 

    Previous experience in a mechanical role (e.g. supervisor, engineer, or site-based role)

  * 

    Exposure to construction projects, ideally within residential or commercial sectors

  * 

    Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ / HNC / HND or similar preferred)

  * 

    SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable, not essential)

  * 

    Strong organisational and communication skills

  * 

    Eagerness to develop and progress into a full Project Manager role
