Assistant Production Manager
Location: Ross on Wye
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000Day-to-day of the role:
Manage, train, and monitor the performance of the supervising team and seasonal staff.
Oversee production jobs from growing to harvest.
Coordinate the day-to-day logistics of work teams.
Conduct training inductions for new employees.
Monitor and report on health and safety.
Maintain accurate production records.
Ensure fruit quality control during harvest.
Adapt to fluctuating work hours during the busy harvest season, including long hours and weekend work.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in soft fruit production (harvest or growing) is essential; however, full training will be provided.
Strong organisation and planning skills.
Proven experience managing groups of people.
Innovative thinking and a positive approach.
Ability to work independently.
Willingness to learn.
Knowledge of Russian or Bulgarian would be advantageous but is not required.
Must have the right to work in the UK long term and possess a full clean driving licence.Benefits:
