Our client is a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a wide range of infrastructure projects across civils and utilities. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are now seeking an Assistant Project Planner to support the successful planning and delivery of projects.
The Role:
As Project Planner, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes, working closely with delivery teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 / MS Project
Monitor progress, identify risks, and provide programme updates
Carry out critical path analysis and forecasting
Support tender planning and pre-construction activities
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
Produce reports for internal teams and client stakeholders
Assist with change management and programme recovery where requiredRequirements:
Strong working knowledge of planning software (P6 or MS Project)
Experience working on utilities, civils or water projects (desirable)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work across multiple projects and priorities
