Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: London / Essex / East Herts & Home Counties (Site based) Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Per Annum (DOE) Start Date: 05.01.2026 Contract: Permanent Our client, a leading construction company specialising in industrial projects across London, Essex, East Herts, and the Home Counties, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career within a dynamic and supportive environment. The Role: As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the Senior QS team to manage project costs and contribute to the successful delivery of industrial construction projects. Your responsibilities will include: * Assisting with the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation. * Monitoring project costs and producing regular reports. * Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers. * Supporting the negotiation and administration of contracts. * Helping to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The Candidate: * Previous experience in quantity surveying or a related role within construction. * Must be degree qualified within a relevant field. * Knowledge of industrial or commercial construction projects is advantageous. * Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. * Excellent communication and team-working abilities. * A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
