Assistant Quantity Surveyor - CF46065

Bennett & Game Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking specialist contractor based in Derby, delivering projects across demolition, earthworks, civils, and groundworks.

With a strong reputation for delivering full "destruction to construction" solutions, our client is known for their collaborative approach, value engineering expertise, and ability to deliver high-quality projects efficiently and safely. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual looking to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying. The role will involve a mix of both site and office-based work, providing valuable exposure across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and submission of applications for payment
Support the pricing of variations and maintain accurate cost records
Issue contractual notifications to clients where required
Coordinate and manage the distribution of construction drawings
Assist in the preparation of valuations and final accounts
Monitor project budgets and carry out cost analysis
Support procurement of materials and subcontractor packagesRequirements

Experience within construction or groundworks (preferred but not essential)
HNC/HND qualified or working towards a construction-related degree
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent communication and organisational ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant systems
Proactive, driven, and keen to learn
Full UK driving licenceWhat's on Offer

Salary typically between £30,000 - £35,000, depending on experience and level of study
