Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Brighton - £32,500-£37,500

A well-established and design-led construction consultancy is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Brighton office. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of residential, education and commercial projects across the South Coast and London. The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will work closely with experienced professionals, making this an ideal role for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career in a supportive environment.

The appointed Assistant Quantity Surveyor will assist in delivering projects from inception through to completion, supporting senior team members and engaging with clients. This Assistant Quantity Surveyor role offers structured development, strong mentorship and clear progression, making it perfect for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor keen to progress towards chartership.

The Role
 * Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and feasibility studies as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
 * Supporting procurement processes, tendering and contractor engagement
 * Assisting with contract administration duties (primarily JCT)
 * Monitoring project costs, variations and financial reporting
 * Supporting valuations and final accounts as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
 * Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams
 * Working closely with senior surveyors to ensure successful project delivery

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor?
 * Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
 * Previous experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or relevant placement experience
 * Basic understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes
 * Keen to work towards MRICS chartership
 * Strong communication and organisational skills
 * Driven and career-focused Assistant Quantity Surveyor
