Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Cambridge - £35,000-£40,000
A growing and well-regarded construction consultancy is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Cambridge team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial and industrial (sheds) developments. The appointed Assistant Quantity Surveyor will assist in the delivery of projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients and senior surveyors. This Assistant Quantity Surveyor role offers structured training, clear progression and exposure to high-quality schemes. It is perfectly suited to a driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor eager to progress towards chartership and develop within a forward-thinking consultancy.

The Role
* Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and feasibility studies as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
* Supporting procurement processes, tendering and contractor engagement
* Assisting with contract administration duties (primarily JCT)
* Monitoring project costs, variations and financial reporting
* Supporting valuations and final accounts as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
* Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams
* Working closely with senior surveyors to ensure successful project delivery
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor?
* Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
* Some experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or relevant industry placement
* Basic understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes
* Keen to work towards MRICS chartership
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Motivated and career-focused Assistant Quantity Surveyor
