Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cotswolds (site-based with some flexibility)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a prestigious £40M construction project located in the heart of the Cotswolds. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic site-based commercial team on a high-end, technically complex scheme involving new-build and heritage elements.
Reporting to the Project Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Lead, you will assist with key financial and contractual duties throughout the full lifecycle of the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the management of subcontractor packages, including procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Assist in preparing monthly CVRs, cost forecasts, and internal reports
* Measure and value works on site in accordance with drawings and specifications
* Attend site meetings and liaise with operational staff and suppliers
* Monitor and manage change control procedures and support commercial risk management
* Ensure all procurement and commercial documentation is properly maintained and updated
* Contribute to the preparation and submission of client applications for payment
Requirements
* Degree-qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying (or similar discipline)
* 1–3 years’ experience in a commercial or assistant QS role, preferably within a main contractor
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* Familiarity with NEC or JCT forms of contract
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of commercial software such as COINS or Causeway is beneficial
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to be site-based in the Cotswolds
