A well-established main contractor based near the coast near Shoreham is on the lookout for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. They work on all sorts of interesting projects – from new builds and refurbishments to fit-outs, so no two days are the same.
This is a great role for someone with some experience who’s ready to take the next step, with plenty of support from a down-to-earth, experienced commercial team.
What you’ll be doing:

Helping prepare and check tender documents, cost estimates, and bills of quantities
*
Working with the Quantity Surveyor team to keep projects on budget and running smoothly
*
Supporting valuations and payment applications
*
Getting involved in variations, contracts, and keeping financial records up to date
*
Chatting with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to keep everything on track
*
Learning loads while being hands-on across a range of live projects
What they’re looking for:
*
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role (main contractor or subcontractor side)
*
A good attitude, strong attention to detail, and a genuine interest in construction
*
A relevant qualification (or working towards one) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
*
Someone who’s happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in
*
Based within commuting distance of Shoreham with driving license and own car
