Job Description
We are working with a well-established main contractor who have an excellent reputation for delivering quality projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their North East commercial team.
The Role:
This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of exciting new build and housing projects. You will be supporting senior surveyors and project managers, gaining hands-on experience with responsibility for cost management, procurement, and subcontractor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with project budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts
*
Preparing and issuing sub-contract tender packages
*
Monitoring project costs and reporting on commercial performance
*
Maintaining accurate records to support project delivery
*
Supporting senior team members with risk, opportunity, and cash flow management
About You:
*
At least 2 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within either build or housing sectors
*
Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
*
Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
*
Keen to progress your career within a reputable contractor
*
Based in or able to commute to the North East region
