Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Sector: Social Housing – New Build & Refurbishment
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Package
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing social housing contractor delivering both new build and refurbishment projects across South Wales. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll work closely with senior commercial staff, gaining hands-on experience and progression within a supportive and ambitious business.
Role Overview
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

Assisting with cost planning, tenders, and valuations.
*
Supporting senior QSs across multiple live projects.
*
Managing subcontractor payments and documentation.
*
Monitoring costs and budgets to ensure project profitability.
*
Building strong working relationships with internal teams and clients.
About You
*
Ideally a degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
*
Experience or placement background in new build or refurbishment.
*
Strong communication and numerical skills.
*
Keen to develop and grow within a reputable contractor.
