Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Hull
£28,000 - £35,000 DOE
Hull - UK
Type: Permanent
Must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car

We're looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a Commercial Department in Hull, supporting a range of exciting projects and working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Finance teams. You'll gain exposure to all aspects of commercial project management - from procurement and contract administration through to forecasting and financial reporting.
What You'll Be Doing
Prepare and maintain monthly Project Financial Status Reports.
Support in financial forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
Produce and monitor cash flow and invoicing plans.
Report on supplier and subcontractor cost liabilities / accruals.
Work with the Finance Department to ensure accurate month-end reporting.
Assist with maintaining subcontractor commitment trackers and project performance documentation.
Prepare applications for payment and issue formal correspondence to suppliers and subcontractors.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best value.
Manage and track procurement activity to meet project milestones.What We're Looking For
Ideally 1-3 years' experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Assistant.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with good attention to detail.
Confident using Excel and other reporting tools;
Excellent communication and organisation skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (client site visits required).
