Assistant Site Manager

Valid Forklift (Telehandler) driving qualification – essential
Newcastle upon Tyne
£40,000 to £50,000

We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Assistant Site Manager to join a busy construction project in Newcastle. This role will support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and to programme.

This is a great opportunity for someone with site supervision experience who is looking to develop their career within a professional construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Assisting the Site Manager with the daily management of site operations

  * 

    Supervising subcontractors and trades to ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard

  * 

    Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics

  * 

    Operating a forklift when required to support site operations

  * 

    Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained at all times

  * 

    Conducting site inductions and supporting toolbox talks

  * 

    Monitoring progress and reporting any issues or delays

  * 

    Maintaining site records and assisting with documentation

Requirements

  * 

    Previous experience in a construction Assistant Site Manager / Site Supervisor role

  * 

    Valid Forklift (Telehandler) driving qualification – essential

  * 

    CSCS Card

  * 

    Good understanding of site health & safety procedures

  * 

    Strong organisational and communication skills

  * 

    Ability to work well with subcontractors and site teams
