Assistant Site Manager (Civils) - Cambridge

Location: Cambridge
Duration: 14 Weeks

We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager with a strong Civil Engineering background to support the delivery of a new EV Charging Hub project in Cambridge. Working alongside the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Assist in the coordination and supervision of subcontractors and site operatives.

  * Monitor health & safety compliance and promote best practice on site.

  * Support the delivery of civils works including groundworks, drainage, ducting, utilities, and associated infrastructure.

  * Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.

  * Ensure project programmes are maintained and report on progress.

  * Liaise with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders as required.

  * Maintain site records and documentation.

Requirements:

  * Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on civils, infrastructure, or groundworks projects.

  * Experience delivering EV charging, utilities, highways, or similar infrastructure projects is advantageous.

  * Valid SMSTS

  * Valid CSCS Card

  * Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.

  * Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  * Available to start immediately or at short notice
