Assistant Team Manager
Location: Civic Campus, Euclid Street, SN1 2JG

Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 30.49 per hour

Responsibilities
Assist in managing the Assessment and Child Protection Team, ensuring effective supervision and support of staff.
Collaborate with other assistant team managers to assess all new cases requiring statutory assessment through the MASH front door.
Oversee the team during duty week, occurring one in every four weeks, to handle new referrals and complete necessary assessments and safeguarding processes.
Ensure strict adherence to deadlines and make informed, safe decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Adapt to changing needs and requests at short notice, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
Person Specification
Must hold a Social Worker qualification.
Experience and training in MASH/ACP are essential.
Proven management experience in supervising staff effectively.
Capable of working collaboratively within a dynamic team committed to improving outcomes for children and families in Swindon.
Availability to attend the office for 1 full week out of 4 during duty week, and 1-2 days in other weeks.
