A well-established planning consultancy based in Bedford is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Planner to join their growing team. The company delivers expert planning services across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and rural development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career planning professional looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation
Undertake planning research and policy reviews
Liaise with clients, local planning authorities, and other stakeholders
Conduct site visits and assist in preparing reports
Support senior planners in delivering projects on time and to a high standard
Keep up to date with changes in planning legislation and policy
Candidate Requirements:
Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI-accredited preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A genuine interest in planning and the built environment
Full UK driving licence (desirable)
