Assistant Town Planner / Town Planner - Telford
Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established planning consultancy based in Telford with their search for an Assistant Town Planner / Town Planner.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious planning professional to join a dynamic team, working on a variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. The role offers exposure to all aspects of the planning process, from pre-application advice through to planning applications and negotiations with local authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and submitting planning applications.
Conducting site appraisals and feasibility studies.
Liaising with clients, architects, and local planning authorities.
Providing professional planning advice and recommendations.
Supporting senior planners in managing projects from inception to completion.
Requirements:
Degree in Town Planning or related discipline.
Relevant experience in local authority or consultancy planning roles.
Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and procedures.
Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
Full driving licence desirable but not essential.
