Premier Recruitment Group is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established business in Erith to recruit a permanent Assistant Warehouse Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to step into a key leadership role within a fast-moving and high-volume operation.
The Role:
As Assistant Warehouse Manager, you'll support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations and lead a team of up to 40 staff. You'll be hands-on, organised, and results-driven, with a strong grip on performance, planning, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the day-to-day management of the warehouse
Lead, motivate and support a team of 40 staff across all operational areas
Manage rotas and shift cover to ensure smooth and consistent workflow
Oversee stock management and maintain inventory accuracy
Monitor and drive team performance in line with KPIs
Use Excel for reporting, analysis, and operational planning
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience leading teams in a warehouse or logistics environment
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and best practices
Confidence using Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
