Job Description
Our client are currently on the lookout for an Assistant Workshop Supervisor. If you have a strong electrical background with experience wiring control panels and live in the Erith area then we would love to hear from you!
The role is a hands-on post for someone who enjoys balancing workshop/depot based practical work paired with supervising others and offering team support.
Package:
* Basic salary up to £35,000
* Working hours: 08:30 – 16:30
* Private medical cover
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Responsibilities:
* You will be tasked with helping lead a busy electrical control panel workshop, supporting day-to-day operations on the shop floor which builds and tests control/PLC panels.
* Supervise and support the panel workshop team, including panel wiremen and apprentices.
* Build and assemble electrical control panels / PLC panels to spec, including back-panel layout.
* Check, sign off and maintain accurate test documentation and build records.
* Maintain workshop standards, housekeeping and H&S compliance; liaise with office and leadership as needed.
Requirements
* Proven supervisory experience within a panel workshop, with prior hands-on experience as a panel wirer.
* Strong knowledge of electrical components and electrical principles.
* Confident reading wiring diagrams/schematics and performing electrical testing (P2P, dead/live).
* Positive, collaborative communicator who can support and mentor apprentices/colleagues
* Organisational skills with a thorough and a continuous-improvement mindset.
