The Opportunity:
As an Associate Director, you'll play a pivotal leadership role - overseeing technical delivery, managing project finances, and driving forward design excellence across a diverse project portfolio. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide strategic infrastructure solutions that address today's most pressing urban challenges.
This is also a key client-facing role, offering the chance to expand your influence, build relationships, and contribute to wider business development and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
Oversee technical design and project performance, with responsibility for programme, quality, and financial outcomes.
Provide technical leadership across highways, utilities, drainage, and urban development schemes.
Guide and mentor teams across disciplines, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Engage directly with clients and stakeholders, offering expert advice and developing tailored infrastructure strategies.
Prepare and review technical reports, design specifications, and procurement documents.
Identify and develop new business opportunities through client relationship management and networking.
Represent the business at industry forums, conferences, and client presentations.Your Profile:
We're looking for a dynamic and experienced infrastructure professional who brings:
Strong technical grounding in infrastructure or urban development engineering.
A successful track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects at a senior level.
Proven leadership in a core discipline (e.g. highways, sustainable drainage, utilities).
Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management capabilities.
A commercially minded approach with strong financial and resource planning skills.
Proficiency in key design software including AutoCAD, Civils 3D and MicroDrainage.
Chartered status (or equivalent) with a relevant professional institution.
