A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Associate Fire Engineer to join their expanding fire safety team in London / SE. This is an opportunity to run meaningful projects, influence the safety of complex buildings, and develop a team of fire engineers - all while progressing your own career as an Associate Fire Engineer and beyond in a supportive and technically forward-thinking environment. The successful Associate Fire Engineer will be instrumental in delivering fire strategy, technical leadership, and client-facing support across projects from concept to completion. This is more than just a technical role - it's a chance for an Associate Fire Engineer to shape safer spaces and lead with purpose. The Associate Fire Engineer's Role Delivering fire safety engineering advice across a broad range of buildings Acting as lead contact for clients and providing high-quality consultancy throughout design stages Developing and reviewing fire strategies in line with national standards and guidance Managing fire safety project teams, including mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical outputs Coordinating with internal disciplines across architecture, engineering, and surveying Presenting complex technical solutions clearly to stakeholders Supporting business development activities, fee proposals, and project planning Contributing to a collaborative and quality-focused team cultureThe Associate Fire Engineer Degree qualified in Fire Engineering or a related discipline Chartered or working towards CEng 6+ years' experience in UK-based fire engineering across RIBA stages Confident leading projects and advising clients across sectors Strong grasp of fire behaviour, smoke control, evacuation modelling, and system design Proven expertise in fire engineering, building construction (RIBA stages), building services, and construction risk management Excellent knowledge of UK fire safety standards (awareness of international codes such as NFPA and IBC also welcomed) Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and BIM tools Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UKIn Return? £75,000 - £90,000 Hybrid working model Opportunity to lead and shape a growing team Access to multidisciplinary expertise and cross-sector projects Enhanced annual leave, family-friendly policies, and wellbeing initiatives Ongoing CPD, chartership support, and structured progression pathways Training sponsorship and professional membership supportIf you are a Fire Engineer considering your career opportunities, then please contact Stuart Miller at Brandon James.
