Title: Associate Principal Scientist Vacancy Type: Permanent (Sponsorship not available) Area: Manchester Salary: Competitive SRG is working with a global CDMO that is rapidly expanding and looking for multiple Analytical scientists at various levels to support their API division. We are looking for a Associate Principal Scientist to join a rapidly growing global pharmaceutical company in Manchester. The successful candidate will be currently involved in the Non-GMP analysis of intermediates and APIs, utilising HPLC, GC and various other techniques. You will be leading and guiding the analytical development projects, providing analytical advice to colleagues, and must be able to demonstrate this experience in previous roles. In order to be successful in this position, you would need to have a strong technical background in HPLC and GC analysis, specifically with APIs and/or small molecules within the Pharmaceutical industry. You will also have recent experience in other analytical methodologies such as techniques for identity or form determination (e.g. NMR, MS, IR, XRD). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead and guide scientists within the analytical development team. Identify, develop and optimise analytical testing on small molecule drug substances (APIs), supporting both early and late phase development. Develop, validate and carry out Tech Transfer on analytical methods (both GMP and non-GMP) Calibration and routine monitoring/maintenance of analytical equipment. Support the site Quality Management System including input into investigations and/or CAPAs. Utilise a range of techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, MS, IR and XRD. Skills Required: PhD level in an analytical related discipline, or BSc/MSc in a related field and considerable experience in Analytical Science. A strong background in Analytical Chemistry, with recent experience with HPLC, GC and other analytical techniques. Essential: Recent experience with APIs and small molecule analysis. Essential: Experience with developing and validatin analytical methods for API testing. Essential: recent experience leading projects within analytical development. Highly desired: Experience with regulatory requirements for the development and validation of analytical methods for APIs. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Interested?
