Job Description

Conrad Consulting is currently recruiting an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to join a leading professional services consultancy supporting a major aviation programme in West Sussex.

This is a senior commercial opportunity working across a portfolio of high-profile aviation projects, including airfield, civil engineering, commercial and sustainability workstreams.

The Role

As an Associate Quantity Surveyor, you will take a senior role in the commercial management of major projects, working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading cost management activities across major projects.
	
Managing commercial reporting, forecasting and cost control.
	
Providing advice on procurement and contract strategy.
	
Managing change, variations and commercial risk.
	
Overseeing contract administration and commercial governance.
	
Supporting project delivery from early design through to construction.
	
Managing client and contractor relationships.
	
Providing commercial leadership and mentoring more junior team members.
	
Contributing to the development of commercial strategies and project objectives.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Significant quantity surveying and commercial management experience.
	
Experience working on major construction or infrastructure projects.
	
Strong cost management and contract administration capabilities.
	
Excellent knowledge of commercial processes and project controls.
	
Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
	
Experience managing change, risk and commercial reporting.
	
The ability to lead commercial workstreams and support junior colleagues.

Aviation experience would be advantageous, although strong candidates from major infrastructure, civil engineering, transport or other complex project environments will be considered.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a client interview and approval process
