About the Opportunity
I’m partnering with a respected, long-standing civil and structural engineering consultancy that continues to grow across the region. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions and a real commitment to staff development, they’re now looking to appoint a Principal or Associate Structural Engineer to help lead their Leeds team.

Lead and oversee structural engineering design across a range of building types and materials.
Provide technical direction, checking and approval of drawings, calculations, designs and specifications.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, buildable design solutions.
Mentor and support junior engineers, helping to develop technical capability and confidence.
Act as a client-facing lead engineer, strengthening relationships and ensuring repeat business.
Contribute to bids, proposals, fee development and wider business growth initiatives.
Take a lead role in project management—programme, quality, risk and delivery oversight.

Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (MEng/BEng).
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status via ICE or IStructE.
Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering structural engineering projects.
Strong technical understanding across concrete, steel, timber and masonry structures.
Familiarity with modern design tools and structural analysis software.
Confident communicator and able to manage client relationships effectively.
Experience leading project teams and supporting business development is highly desirable.
Someone enthusiastic, collaborative and able to inspire a team.

Support with professional memberships and fees.
Hybrid and flexible working options.
