About the Client
Our client is a well-established engineering consultancy based in Inverness, specializing in delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions across a diverse range of sectors, including residential, commercial, retail, and industrial projects. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are seeking an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of their Inverness office.
Role Overview
As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering a variety of building projects. Your responsibilities will encompass both technical and managerial aspects, including:
Project Leadership: Oversee and manage structural engineering projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
Design & Analysis: Provide structural design calculations and analysis in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution and resolve any technical challenges.
Business Development: Actively contribute to the growth of the business by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations.
Office Management: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Inverness office, including resource planning, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring adherence to company quality standards.Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng).
Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng MICE) or the Institution of Structural Engineers (CEng MIStructE) is preferred.
A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in building design across various sectors.
Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla) and a solid understanding of Eurocodes and UK building regulations.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage projects and mentor junior staff effectively.
A proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.On offer
