Associate Transport Planner
£60,000 - £70,000

We’re working with a leading UK consultancy who are looking to appoint an Associate Transport Planner as they continue to grow their Birmingham office.
This is a senior leadership role for an experienced transport planner who’s ready to take full ownership of projects, drive business development, and play a key role in shaping and expanding the team.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading transport planning projects from feasibility through to delivery
Preparing and overseeing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Strategies, Parking Strategies and more
Managing client relationships and representing the business in negotiations with local authorities and stakeholders
Providing expert input into S106 negotiations and technical approvals
Leading and mentoring junior and senior staff, supporting their technical and project development
Driving business development opportunities and supporting the long-term growth of the Birmingham office
What we’re looking for:
A relevant degree (Master’s in Transport or related discipline desirable)
Significant UK consultancy experience in transport planning and development planning
Proven track record in leading projects and managing clients
Strong technical expertise with transport modelling and planning software (e.g. TRICS, ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG)
Commercially minded, with the drive to grow a team and win new business
