Role: Attendance & Inclusion Officer
Location: South East London | Salary: £31.16 per hour Umbrella

We're looking for a driven Attendance & Inclusion Officer to lead on improving school attendance and supporting children at risk of falling through the cracks. You'll work at the heart of local communities, building partnerships and delivering targeted support to ensure every child gets the education they deserve.
Responsibilties:
Collaborating with schools, local authorities, alternative provisions, and external agencies to uphold statutory safeguarding responsibilities and promote consistent school attendance.
Managing a caseload of schools as part of our traded service offer - using data-driven insight, our comprehensive SLA support menu, and strategic intervention to boost attendance rates.
Taking the lead in multi-agency working, ensuring families receive the right help, at the right time, to tackle the root causes of poor attendance.
Investigating cases of persistent absence, preparing legal documentation, and presenting cases in court when needed.
Carrying out home visits and taking action in line with local authority duties for Children Missing Education (CME).
Acting as Lead Professional for complex and high-needs cases - offering early intervention, welfare referrals, and support for those at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
What We're Looking For:
A confident communicator with experience in multi-agency settings
A self-starter who's highly organized and analytical
A strong advocate for children and families, with knowledge of statutory education and safeguarding frameworks
Experience in enforcement, welfare, or educational attendance work is essential
The job will require the successful candidate to travel around the borough and provide onsite support visits to schools.Ready to be a key part of the solution?
