Job Description
Zest Education is recruiting a detail-oriented and proactive Attendance Officer to join a secondary school in Lichfield. This is a key role in supporting pupils’ learning by promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the school.
Role Responsibilities:
* Monitor and record daily pupil attendance using SIMS / Arbor
* Follow up on absences via phone calls, texts, and emails
* Work with pupils, parents, and staff to improve attendance rates
* Produce attendance reports for school leadership and external agencies
* Support with safeguarding by identifying attendance concerns early
* Assist with general office/admin tasks when required
Ideal Candidate:
✅ Previous school administration or attendance experience (essential)
✅ Strong knowledge of SIMS / Arbor systems
✅ Excellent communication skills when liaising with parents and pupils
✅ Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
✅ Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
