Audio Visual Service Engineer - Reading Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum + overtime (time and a third) Location: Reading (covering the South of the UK) Hours: Full-time, permanent Company Vehicle + Travel Pay + Excellent Training & Career Development About the Company The client are leaders in digital signage and audio-visual integration across retail, hospitality, and corporate environments. From stadium LED displays and interactive touchpoints to digital menu boards and bespoke retail displays - we design, install, and maintain impactful AV solutions that connect brands with their audiences. They are expanding their team and now seeking a field-based AV Service Engineer to join their operation. You'll play a key role in supporting our wide client base, maintaining their AV and digital signage systems, and assisting with installations across the South of the UK. The Role As an AV Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for: Providing on-site service, maintenance, and technical support to our clients. Diagnosing and repairing AV equipment faults both internally and externally. Supporting installation teams when required. Maintaining stock levels and managing spare parts efficiently. Completing reports and communicating updates to the service and maintenance team. Staying up to date with training on the latest digital signage, LED, and meeting room technologies.Overtime is paid at time and a third, and you'll be compensated for travel time. Occasional overnight stays may be required. About You We're looking for someone who is practical, motivated, and enjoys problem-solving in the field. Essential skills and experience: Previous experience in a field-based engineering or technical service role. Confident using hand tools and power tools. Good IT and networking knowledge. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK Driving Licence. Able to commute to Reading daily.Desirable experience (training provided if needed): Background in Audio Visual systems or digital signage. Knowledge of LED displays, projectors, and video walls. CSCS/ECS card or equivalent site access qualification.
