Job Description
With our Client based in Middleton we are looking to appoint an Audit and Accounts Senior.
Our Client offers a range of Services to their Clients from traditional Accounts Preparation / Bookkeeping through to Business Services. We are looking for a proactive / hands on Audit and Accounts Senior – someone who enjoys building and maintaining relationships with their Clients – who range from Sole Traders to leading PLC’s.
What’s on offer for the Audit and Accounts Senior
* Annual Salary of c £27,000 – £35,000 DOE

Duties:
* Maintain up to date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices
* Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Preparation and review of quarterly VAT returns
* Preparation for corporation tax
* Preparation of self-assessment tax returns
* Building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with clients
* Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Account Specialist or similar role within an accounting environment
* Strong proficiency in accounting software, specifically Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or equivalent platforms
* Excellent understanding of accounts preparation processes and financial reporting
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills. Both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with relevant experience
