We are seeking a resilient, compassionate, and proactive Autism Learning Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in North West London that supports students with a wide range of needs, including autism and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

With a team of dedicated professionals, we strive to create a positive and inclusive educational experience for all our students.The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with autism, helping them access the curriculum and manage transitions throughout the school day
Work closely with teaching staff to adapt lesson materials and create a supportive learning environment
Support students with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and social communication
Help implement EHCP targets, behaviour plans, and autism-specific strategies
Liaise with parents, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistent support
Maintain accurate records of progress and incidents, contributing to reviews and planning
Preferred requirements:
Experience supporting students with autism, ideally in a secondary or SEN setting
Strong understanding of autism spectrum conditions and associated needs (e.g. anxiety, sensory processing, communication)
Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent in challenging situations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
