Autism Support Assistant (Secondary SEN School) Location: Bournemouth Start Date: September 2025 or as soon as possible Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm  We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our vibrant SEN school for secondary-aged students. If you are committed to supporting students with autism to achieve their full potential, we want to hear from you! About the Role: As an Autism Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to provide tailored support to students on the autism spectrum. Your role will involve assisting with their educational, social, and emotional development, fostering a safe and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with autism in both classroom and extracurricular activities Implementing individualised support plans and strategies Promoting positive behaviour and social interaction Assisting with communication and sensory needs Building trusting relationships with students to encourage independence and confidence Contributing to a nurturing and structured learning environment What we are looking for: Genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills Ability to work proactively as part of a team Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment Experience working with students with autism or in an SEN setting is desirable but not essential—training will be provided What We Offer: A supportive and friendly working environment.
