Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to work within a caring and inclusive school in Slough. The role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one support for students with autism
* Assist in creating structured, calm learning environments
* Work with teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans
* Encourage social skills development and emotional regulation
* Support students with transitions and sensory needs
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with autism or similar needs
* Understanding and patient approach to support and communication
* Team player with a positive attitude
* Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one)
