Salary: £90–£110 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Autism Support Teaching Assistant to work at a welcoming primary school in Stone Cross. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in providing tailored support to students with ASD and who thrives in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About the Role:
As an Autism Support TA, you will be working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who have been diagnosed with Autism. You will assist them with their learning, social interaction, and emotional regulation, helping to ensure a positive and inclusive classroom experience.
Your Responsibilities as an Autism Support TA – Primary:
Provide direct 1:1 or small group support to students with Autism
Implement individual support plans and communication strategies
Use visual aids, sensory tools, and structured routines to aid learning
Promote positive behaviour and support emotional regulation
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons
Record observations and contribute to progress reports and review meetings
Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Skills & Requirements Autism Support Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children with Autism in a primary school setting as an Autism Support TA or similar
Understanding of ASD-related needs, including sensory processing and social communication
Relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare.
A degree in Education, psychology, SEND or a similar field
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
