We're working with a fantastic specialist school in Rowde that supports students aged 11-18 with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLDs) and Autism. They are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Worker to join their friendly, experienced team as soon as possible.
The Autism Support Worker role is a full-time, term-time role that gives you the chance to work in a nurturing and inclusive environment where every day brings something new and rewarding.
Key Details for an Autism Support Worker
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Monday-Friday, term-time only)
Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
Location: RowdeAs an Autism Support Worker, you will:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students
Help build communication and social interaction skills
Promote independence and a sense of safety within the learning environment
Support students in managing their emotions and behaviours
Work closely with teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomesTe role of Autism Support Worker is ideal for someone who:
Is a strong communicator with a calm, patient manner
Is organised, adaptable, and ready to rise to daily challenges
Has a Grade C/Level 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
Has experience working with children or young people (particularly those with additional needs)
