The Education Network is currently recruiting a compassionate and dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a welcoming and inclusive school in the Bradford area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with autism.
Assist with personalised learning plans and differentiated classroom activities.
Use positive behaviour strategies to promote engagement and emotional regulation.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to deliver high-quality provision.
Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
Support pupils with communication, social skills, and sensory needs.Requirements
Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs (preferred).
Patience, empathy, and a calm, supportive approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
Relevant training (such as Autism Awareness, Team Teach, or SEND qualifications) is highly desirable.What We Offer
