Role Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join our growing team in Gloucestershire.

You'll help us make a positive difference to the people within our community through the maintenance and repair of manual and automatic door systems and associated access control hardware, delivering safe, compliant, and high quality work for our customers.

This is a field based role with strong team support, structured scheduling and opportunities for development.

What you'll Do

  * Service, maintain and repair manual and automatic doors and access control hardware

  * Diagnose and resolve faults, complete small works and respond to call outs

  * Maintain accurate job records, comply with safety regulations and complete documentation

  * Advise customers on system improvements and safety upgrades

  * Work alongside installation and service teams to ensure smooth workflow and client satisfaction

  * Represent Severnside Security professionally as the frontline contact

  * Participate in the out of hours call out rota

What We're Looking For

Essential

  * Proven experience working with automatic and manual door systems

  * Ability to implement safety systems and ensure processes comply with relevant regulations and standards (i.e, GMP, UKCA/CE Marking)

  * Hands on knowledge of access control hardware and low voltage wiring

  * Strong fault finding and problem solving skills

  * Valid UK driving licence

  * The legal right to work in the UK

  * Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable

  * EN16005 qualification (or willingness to complete within six months, company funded)

  * 18th Edition or Master Locksmith Approved (advantageous)

  * DHF and BS EN 16005 compliance knowledge

  * Confident with aluminium and steel door repairs
