This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), operating within a flexible pool structure. You’ll provide cover for other technicians during planned or unplanned absences. When not covering, your regular shift will typically be Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 15:00.
You must be prepared to rotate through the following shift types as needed:
Early: 06:30 – 15:00
Late: 14:00 – 22:20
Night: 22:00 – 06:40
Weekend cover: Saturday 06:30 – 18:00 | Sunday 06:00 – 19:00Automation Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Carry out planned, reactive, and condition-based maintenance on automation systems
Diagnose faults and resolve issues quickly to maintain performance and uptime
Work closely with engineering leads to improve equipment reliability and throughput
Support and lead continuous improvement projects
Record maintenance activity and equipment performance data accurately
Ensure safety, compliance, and engineering standards are upheld at all times
About You:
Qualified to at least ONC or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong experience maintaining automated or electro-mechanical equipment
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
Confident working independently or as part of a team
A full UK driving licence is required (occasional travel to other sites may be necessary)Consultant – Liam Bolton- MDLOJ
