Poolhall Recruitment is an established employment business specialising in Textile Personnel across the UK. We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client – a well-regarded automotive upholstery specialist – who is looking for an experienced Trimmer to join their growing team in Leiston, Suffolk.
🛠️ Role Overview
As Trimming Manager, you'll lead a dedicated workshop focused on bespoke automotive upholstery, including work on both new and classic cars. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with extensive experience in trimming and interior restoration.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
*
Manage and supervise the trimming team
*
Ensure production targets and quality standards are met
*
Hands-on trimming, upholstery, and template creation
*
Oversee and complete ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 documentation
*
Read and interpret blueprints and upholstery patterns
*
Work with a wide range of materials and fabrics used in car interiors
*
Ensure workshop safety, cleanliness, and efficiency
✅ What We're Looking For
*
Experience in automotive trimming – ESSENTIAL
*
Strong understanding of vehicle interior upholstery
*
Time-served upholsterer or trimmer with hands-on experience
*
Proven leadership or team supervision background would be an advantage
*
Able to work with tools such as scissors, shears, cutting tables
*
Knowledge of various interior materials (leather, vinyl, Alcantara, etc.)

Starting Salary: Up to £45,000 per year
*
Holiday: 21 days rising to 25 days, plus Bank Holidays
*
