Automotive Workshop Controller/ Manager

Location: near the Brixton, London area

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5.30pm - No Weekends

Salary: Circa £40-45k Basic Salary

You must have experience in a similar automotive position
Your Role:
As Workshop Controller, you will oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency, top-tier service, and a safe, well-organised environment. You will manage service delivery whilst upholding the highest standards for our loyal customers.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Oversee the daily running of the workshop, managing workloads and technician efficiency.
*
Allocate jobs to technicians based on skills and availability.
*
Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer and company standards.
*
Communicate with service advisors and management regarding job progress and deadlines.
*
Monitor and improve workshop performance and productivity.
*
Lead, motivate and support your team to achieve service excellence.
About You:
*
Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar role.
*
Strong technical background and diagnostic knowledge (Level 3 qualified or above preferred).
*
Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
*
Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced environment.
*
Strong understanding of health and safety within a workshop setting.
